Updated: Jul 25, 2024

Here at X-Analytics we want to ensure we are always delivering value and innovation. In that regard, we are pleased to announce the latest release of updates to the X-Analytics application on June 13, 2024.

Below is a summary of updates released to the application. If you are an X-Analytics customer and would like further information, please contact your Customer Success Lead.

New Features & Functionality

NIST 2.0 IS HERE: Whether you're ready or still cozy with NIST 1.1, X-Analytics now fully supports the new NIST 2.0 control framework.

This feature includes:

  • NIST 2.0 Assessment Input: X-Analytics includes a NIST 2.0 assesment profile within your Profile Center. You may use this control profile to answer the NIST 2.0 Identity, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover functions by sub-control inputs.

    • NOTE: NIST 2.0 Govern Function is part of the X-Analytics Cyber Risk Governance Module and can be used to answer the Govern sub-control questions related to NIST 2.0. Please see the Cyber Risk Governance module release notice for further information on this feature and your ability to produce and understand your dynamic cyber risk governance score.

  • NIST 2.0 Reporting: As with all our control frameworks the NIST 2.0 framework comes with its own report under the X-Analytics Report Center. You may use the NIST 2.0 report to understand valuabel insights about your Cyber Exposure related to your NIST 2.0 assessment profile, your NIST 2.0 alignment and recommendations, and your NIST 2.0 tier achievement.

How to use: It's simple. Navigate to your Profile Center for the selected Business Unit or Profile and select NIST 2.0 Profile assessment under the Control Profile header.

To review you results: Go to your Report Center and select NIST 2.0 under Advanced Reporting. This report has three sections that are selectable within the report itself. Use these section buttons to select which topic of the report you would like to review.

Review of Previous Features & Functionality

Framework Selection: It's another crowd pleaser . . . We are excited to introduce a powerful new feature that enhances your profile management: the ability to turn control framework within your account on and off with ease.

This feature empowers you to:

  • Optimize reporting: Easily disable framework's implementation values from Control Effectiveness processing when they are not needed, allowing you to report results based on specific framework implementation. Inputs to any framework are saved when they are turned off and can be re-activated at anytime.

  • Increased Flexibility: Gathering control implemenations for a new framework or just want to test how additional framework controls impact your overall Cyber Exposure, but not ready to commit them to your reporting, you can turn them on and off as needed.

  • Gain an overall ROI perspective: Would you like to see all your X-Analytics outputs as they relate to inherent risk? Need to get that pat on the back for all your teams hard work, turn off all control frameworks and review X-Analytics outputs from the perspective of inherent risk. Turn them back on and compare to show the ROI of your past and current efforts.

Note: This feature is enabled at the account level and is accessible by Organizational admins only.

How to use: It's simple. Navigate to your "My Organization" page and scroll down to "Frameworks". Toggle any or all frameworks on or off. When you leave the page X-Analytics will process the changes in your Report Center

Additional Features

  • General maintence to improve application structure and performance.

Bug Fixes

  • Active but unanswered control frameworks no longer submit a 0% implementation for unanswered sub-control inputs.
